Illegal immigration was once more the lead topic at one of Donald Trump’s platforms. During the election campaign, he has been constantly promising to cease federal funding for certain cities that violate the land’s law.

This promise has been stuck in the minds of both Trump’s supporters and the liberals, who are waiting to see if he is going to go through with it.

However, that wait is over, since Trump, even if not sworn in yet, shared that one lawmaker already prepared a plan to carry out Trump’s vision.

Rep. John Culberson, a Texas Republican and chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Science, was the one with the plan and intends to enforce a legal apparatus to cut funding in sanctuary cities if they do not oblige the federal law.

“Using existing law and the power of the purse, I have seen to it that the top 10 sanctuary cities in America have already been certified as violating existing federal law,” Culberson said in an interview. “Everything is pre-positioned for these 10 cities, including Chicago, New York, the entire state of California.”

“They will lose all their federal law enforcement money if President Trump chooses to,” he added. “The president can cut off their money on Jan. 20 if they do not hand over criminal illegal aliens in their custody.”

This issue and Trump’s solution for it was mocked hugely during the campaign. Some even called him ‘racist’ but no one ever called him America’s repairman, which he actually is.
