Nikki Haley, South Carolina’s Governement was assumed to become a part of Donald Trump’s administration. However, something else is in the cards for her, and it is the position of the American ambassador to the United Nations.
She gladly accepted the position that trump has offered to her.
The story was reported by MBC who stated that “Haley’s limited foreign policy experience is likely to draw scrutiny during Senate confirmation hearings for the Cabinet-level position,” her conservatism will allow her to perform this job in a different manner from Obama’s.
Haley had first endorsed Florida Sen. Marco Rubio for the Republican nomination and even threw a couple of bad words to Trump while speaking in January.
“During anxious times, it can be tempting to follow the siren call of the angriest voices,” Haley said, according to CNN. “We must resist that temptation. No one who is willing to work hard, abide by our laws, and love our traditions should ever feel unwelcome in this country.”
Still, as the summer went by, she gave her endorsement of the nominee.
“I would not be here if I didn’t want to make sure that Hillary was not going to be the next president,” Haley said.
Haley also claimed that Trump was “a friend and supporter before he ran for president” after a meeting with the president-elect.
“When I see something I am uncomfortable with, I say it,” she added. “When we met, it was friends who had known each other before.”
Haley has been thought of as one of the most properous politicians in her time. She is the child of Indian immigrants, and has been elected governor of South Carolina twice, in 2010 and 2014.
She is a family person, and her husband works as an Army National Guardsman. He was sent off to Afghanistan in 2013, during her gubernatorial term.
She will be excellent for the position and is expected to cunduct her dutie with pride and honor- just like we all know she is.
