Obama had his own way of celebrating Thanksgiving, and the turkey-pardoning was probably the only visible thing.

As Conservative Tribune reports, Obama made “dad jokes” when the “pardoned” Tater and Tot. If by any chance you didn’t know it, and we bet you didn’t know it, these are the turkeys Obama pardoned in the Rose Garden on Wednesday.

“When somebody at your table tells you that you’ve been hogging all of the side dishes, you can’t have any more, I hope that you respond with a creed that sums up the spirit of a hungry people: ‘Yes, we cran,’” the president said. “Look, I know there are some bad ones in here, but this is the last time I’m doing this, so we’re not leaving any room for leftovers.”

But, President-elect Trump didn’t have any break at all. He was working hard on Thanksgiving, and saved thousands jobs in Indiana.

Seems more important than “dad jokes,” right?

Trump spent Thanksgiving in improving the position of air conditioner manufacturer Carrier in the United States.

“I am working hard, even on Thanksgiving, trying to get Carrier A.C. Company to stay in the U.S. (Indiana),” Trump said in his tweet. “MAKING PROGRESS — Will know soon!”

Carrier made a worrying announcement in February when they said they were sending the Indianapolis plant south of the borders, which cut down 1,400 jobs in America. The video of the announcement became viral, and caused an avalanche of reactions.

Trump took the matter in his own hands during his April rally in Indiana, and explained, “You’re going to bring it across the border, and we’re going to charge you a 35 percent tax. Now within 24 hours they’re going to call back. ‘Mr. President, we’ve decided to stay. We’re coming back to Indianapolis.’”

“Carrier has had discussions with the incoming administration and we look forward to working together,” Carrier tweeted. “Nothing to announce at this time.”

Here’s what the White House said: President Obama said that “(w)e should also make sure everyone has something to eat on Thanksgiving. Of course, except the turkeys, because they’re already stuffed.”
